We all are aware of different type of Operating Systems available in the market now a days like Windows(the most common OS), Linux, Ubuntu and many more running successfully world wide.!

These OS though quite successful make very little use of latest technology which considerably improves our computer's security..

 We never consider options for Open Source Softwares & Operating Systems on a whole as well which are much easier to handle and somehow does improve our security too.!



Many of you aren't  aware but there is similar Open Source OS available in the market by the Name-- Qubes OS, which can run most  LINUX applications & utilises most of LINUX drivers.!

Creating Shortcut To Remove Pendrives Easily

Its a very  simple trick to unplug your pen-drive from the PC.
 
 Just follow these simple steps & you are good to go:


1)- Right Click on your Desktop  & select the option- NEW from 
context sensitive menu.

2)- Now choose SHORTCUT option from the list..

3)- A new Dialog box opens up.
In the browse location, just Copy-Paste the following command URL:


   RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDll hotplug.dll

4)- Click on NEXT option, & then give a random title to this shortcut.

5)- Click on FINISH option & your shortcut will get created on the Desktop.

6)- After this Insert your pen-drive & then Double-click on this newly created shortcut.

7)- Safely remove Hardware Dialog-Box pops up, select your pen-drive & then finally click on OK.

Once you click OK your pen-drive will be successfully Unplugged from the PC.

Hiding Any Folder Permanently....

At times, there are many folders which we want to hide from others whether they are our own family members or our friends.

There are many different ways to HIDE such folders available on Net but in this turorial I am sharing two simple tricks with you all to do the needful.


 IMP NOTE: In both these tricks the folders should have their Folder Names in SINGLE WORD only ( Eg.-- Pics).

 These tricks won't work on folders which have Folder-Names with a Space in between them( Eg.- My Pics)

 TRICK-I:   Using CACLS Command

Only for NTFS Drives

1)- Click on START & choose the option RUN.

2)- The RUN Dialog Box opens Up.

3)- Type cmd to open the Command Prompt window.

4)- Now simply  Type cd\ to change the default prompt and press ENTER.
You  now simply see C:\> as the prompt indicating you can perform operations on this drive.

5)- Now here type the following command:

Cacls /e /p everyone:n
The above command is to deny any type of access to that folder.


6)- Again press Enter and you will get the following message:

Processed Dir: C:\ 

   After this try opening or deleting that particular folder, you won't be able to do so.

NOTE-- To Retrieve this folder back simply follow Steps- 1-4 as it is.
After Getting C:\> prompt, type the following command:

 Cacls /e /p everyone:f

  Your folder will be accessible again just like before.

How To Pop A Random Message when PC starts

Have you ever thought  of a random window which is popped up everytime & which can contain any message that you wish to display just before any user logs on to yor PC..??
No right???? 

So, if you wish to apply this,here's the trick: 
Just follow the steps and you are good to go:



1)- Click on START and select RUN option.

2)- Type "regedit" in the  box, the Registry Editor opens up.

3)- Now navigate to this Key:

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon



4)- After locating the above Key, create a new String Value in the right pane and name it: LegalNoticeCaption

Do modify its value with the message you wish to see in the MENU Bar.


5)- Now again create another String Value and name it:
LegalNoticeText

Do change its value by Inserting the Message that you want to get displayed everytime. 

That's all folks.

After this process,refesh the "RegEditor" using F5 key & simltaneously restart the PC.

 When PC gets restarted you will automatically see that the message pops up, when Windows Boots Up.!

Repair your Damaged USB...

ONLY FOR KINGSTON PENDRIVES

Many of us face the problem Of Damaged/ Corrupted  Pendrives due to viruses or anythng else.
So here's the trick to solve your problems.

 Just follow these below mentioned steps:


1.)- Simply Google and download a software by the name: 

FAT32 FORMAT 

2.)- Then simply insert your corrupted Pendrive in the USB slot
 and, format it using this Software.

 As soon as the process gets completed, your pendrive is good to go..:)

BAN SHUTDOWN OPTION...

 This is a simple trick to DISABLE SHUT DOWN option in shut down dialog box.

   You can try this on lamers or on your enemies and they will definitely freak out.

 Process to follow  

1.)- Click On  START and choose the option RUN.

2.)- Type Regedit  in the Box and press ENTER key. 

3.)- Then navigate to the below mentioned key:

       HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Policies\ Explorer.

4.)-  Now in The Right Pane find a key With Name: NoClose

 NOTE: If you cannot find the above Key, then CREATE it By Right Clicking in the RIGHT PANE and selecting New String Value.(Name it NoCloseKey )


5.)- After creating the above Key in the Right PANE, simply RIGHT CLICK on it and select MODIFY. Type 1 in the VALUE DATA BOX.. 

 That's all guys.  
 Try it and Enjoy.:)

 
 NOTE: To ENABLE the ShutDown Option Simply DELETE the  NO CLOSE KEY 

 OR 

Change  its VALUE to '0'(ZERO)  in  VALUE DATA BOX

Hiding Local Drives in your computer

Note: This  Trick should be tried only if you have a basic knowledge of Registry Editor Otherwise STOP RIGHT HERE...

 PROCEDURE

1.)- Click ON START and select the option RUN.

2.)- Type Regedit. The Registry Editor Window opens.

3.)- Navigate to the key:

     HKEY_CURRENT_USER\  SOFTWARE\ MICROSOFT\ WINDOWS\ CURRENTVERSION\ POLICIES\ EXPLORER

 4.)- Now after this, in the Right Pane window, Create a  NEW DWORD Item. 

 5.)- RENAME it to NoDrives,  and MODIFY Its VALUE and set it to:

3FFFFFF

6.)- Now press F5 to refresh the Editor and RESTART the system.


After Restarting When you open your MY COMPUTER, you won't find your drives there.!
They are simply gone, Ain't they..?  

But don't worry here is the note.

 NOTE: TO simply ENABLE back the Drives just DELETE the DWORD ITEM
 NoDrives using the same procedure as mentioned above
